A combination of tools and activities are implemented to support local authorities, local representatives, the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova (CALM) and central authorities in improving dialogue and consultation mechanisms. These include expert policy and legal support, roundtables, study visits and a grant to CALM to support local democracy in the country. A gender-sensitive approach is used to ensure that women and men are equally involved in all project activities. A human rights-based approach is applied, ensuring that the principles of equality, non-discrimination and inclusion are respected in the implementation of all activities.
