Consultation of the Parties
The Consultation of the Parties is the second monitoring body established by the Tromsø Convention under its Article 12.
It elects the members of the Council of Europe Access Info Group (AIG) and addresses conclusions and recommendations to the Parties to the Convention on the basis of AIG’s reports concerning the implementation of the Convention by the Parties. The Consultation of the Parties meets every year; its meeting reports are available here. The Consultation of the Parties may also make proposals or formulate opinions on any proposal for the amendment of the Tromsø Convention in accordance with Article 19.
The Consultation of the Parties has made conclusions and recommendations on the implementation of the Convention in respect of Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Lithuania, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden and Ukraine.
