The Council of Europe was recently granted observer status to the International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC), a global gathering of national agencies responsible for promoting the right to access information in their jurisdictions. This will be a welcome opportunity to raise awareness of the standards of the Organisation, notably the Tromsø Convention, exchange on best practices, and network with a variety of stakeholders in the area of access to information.
