The Council of Europe Group on Access to information (AIG) held its 8th meeting from 3 to 5 February 2025, in Paris.
The AIG adopted its baseline evaluation reports on the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Access to Official Documents (CETS No.205) in respect of Albania and Armenia, which will be published together with the respective Parties’ comments on their reports upon receipt of such comments. It also adopted its draft baseline evaluation in respect of Slovenia which will be sent to the Party for comments.
The AIG’s discussions on the definition of official documents in Article 1, paragraph 2, sub-paragraph b, of the Convention focused on the interpretation of the terms and notions included in this provision. The AIG’s draft opinion on this definition will be examined at its 9th meeting.
Finally, the AIG adopted its Annual Activity Report for 2024.
