The Access Info Group (AIG) held its 12th meeting in Strasbourg from 1 to 3 June 2026. In relation to its baseline evaluation round, the AIG considered a draft report in respect of North Macedonia as well as updates to the reports in respect of Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The AIG also examined a draft thematic report on document management and preservation and discussed examples of good practice in respect of the balancing of interests’ principle stipulated in Article 3, paragraph 2, of the Tromsø Convention. Finally, it held an exchange of views with experts from the Western Balkans in the context of study visit organised by the Division for Freedom of Expression in the Council of Europe’s Directorate General of Democracy and Human Dignity (DGII).
