The report of the 5th meeting of the Council of Europe Committee of Experts on the Rights and the Best Interests of the Child in Parental Separation and in Care Proceedings (CJ/ENF-ISE) held on 2-4 May 2022 is now available.

At this meeting, the experts reviewed in particular the structure and the content of a draft recommendation on the protection of the best interests of the child and his/her rights in parental separation situations and care proceedings.

The experts also discussed the Committee’s programme and working methods for 2022-2023, the planning for future consultations with children and with relevant stakeholders, and the scope of implementation tools to be developed.
