Zurück Neuchâtel Action Week against Racism

Purpose: The Forum Tous Différents Tous Égaux (All Different - All Equal Forum) and the Service de la Cohésion Multiculturelle (Multicultural Cohesion Service) are jointly organising the Action Week against Racism to raise civil society's awareness of the reality of discrimination and to promote unconditional respect for the equal dignity of all human beings, regardless of their origin, status or beliefs.

Stimulus: In addition to raising awareness, the Action Week enables civil society actors to mobilise, participate and interact in advance around a common project and objective through the lens of interculturalism. Since its inception, the Action Week against Racism has addressed various issues, providing information and raising questions about social realities, including systemic discrimination, the state of human rights and also the effectiveness of the various policies implemented, in particular the intercultural integration policy in the canton of Neuchâtel.

Process: The All Different-All Equal Forum is a platform for discussion, exchange and sharing involving a wide range of partners involved in the initiation, creation and implementation of projects.  The platform meets five or six times a year to draw up the programme, decide on the poster and promotional material and set the timetable.  Networking is facilitated and associations and institutions are supported in the implementation of their projects. Before each meeting of the Forum, a reminder of the principles and objectives of the intercultural integration policy enables each project to be analysed through the lens of interculturalism.

Impact: The creativity, participation and interaction of the various stakeholders thus help to mobilise civil society on an increasingly large scale. In 2024, more than 90 partners offered more than 80 projects for all kinds of groups.  This commitment within different networks has a snowball effect with many positive spin-offs.  Alongside the Week, various networks and projects will develop, fostering interaction and participation and strengthening social cohesion.
