Access to the Archives
Access to the Archives is provided according to the Rules of the Council of Europe Archives Helpdesk.
Access to documents
Not all documents available at the Council of Europe are public. The rules and regulations concerning their access are presented under Access to Council of Europe documents.
Loans and consultation
Documents can be consulted at the Archives helpdesk.
Since the main responsibility of the Archives is to preserve documents, archival material can be given on loan to museums or other cultural institutions only under special conditions. For more information, see the loan agreement model in PDF.
