The fundamental role of the Social Charter was at the centre of Gabriella Battaini Dragoni's meeting with Enrico Giovannini, Italian Minister of Labour and Social Policies. The exchange of views highlighted the relevance of this Council of Europe treaty, which guarantees social and economic human rights in Europe. During the conversation, some preparatory elements have been underlined for a tailored event in Turin (where the Charter was signed in 1961), during the Italian Presidency of the European Union (2nd semester 2014).
