Strasbourg, 27.08.2002 – The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee will meet on Tuesday 3 September in Luxembourg to discuss reports on the right to association for members of the professional staff of the armed forces, the ratification of the European Code of Social Security, the spirit of Europe in museums and the introduction of a quality label for food products derived from hill farming.
Jean Spautz, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, and Lydie Polfer, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg and Chairperson-in-Office of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, will address the parliamentarians.
Meeting on 4 September, the Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men will organise a seminar on “The advantages of micro-loans for women”, which will focus on micro-loans for combating poverty and marginalisation and investing in micro-loans.
