Albania and the Council of Europe Accession Albania became the 35th member State of the Council of Europe on 13 July 1995.

Parliamentary Assembly

Albania is represented in the Congress by a delegation of 4 representatives and 4 substitutes, including:

Budget
The Council of Europe's ordinary budget for 2009 is € 205 002 000. The contribution of Albania is € 246 002.40 (i.e 0.1200 %).

Human Rights
Ratification of the European Convention on Human Rights on 2 October 1996.
