In 2025, a total of 358 individuals received free legal aid and support on property rights through the Tirana Legal Aid Society's (TLAS) dedicated Helpline, supported by the European Union and the Council of Europe action on Improving the protection of the right to property and facilitating execution of ECtHR judgments in Albania (D-REX III). Nearly 46% of the beneficiaries were women, highlighting the ongoing success in engaging vulnerable groups.
The Helpline (+355692093731) provided vital legal information on property rights, helping Albanian citizens navigate complex legal processes. Alongside this service, outreach activities in neighborhoods like Shkoza, Kombinat, and Allias played a crucial role in raising awareness, particularly for those in disadvantaged areas on the outskirts of Tirana.
These efforts aimed to improve knowledge of property rights, domestic remedies, and available legal assistance, making it easier for local communities to access support. The combined approach of direct legal aid and targeted outreach demonstrates the effectiveness of community-driven initiatives in empowering citizens and reinforcing legal protections.
This assistance is provided in the framework of the action Improving the protection of the right to property and facilitating the execution of ECtHR judgments in Albania, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe under the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye III.
