Every year, the World Forum for Democracy brings young leaders, decision-makers and opinion-formers to Strasbourg to debate solutions to key challenges for democracies worldwide. Hosted by the Council of Europe, the international event is open to participants enrolled in the annual training cycles of the Schools of Political Studies, as well as others involved in civic initiatives. In 2019, the theme of the Forum was “Is democracy in danger in the information age?”.

The main programme of the forum was composed of plenary sessions, forum talks, forum labs as well as other experimental initiatives. Moreover, a programme of special events was organised in collaboration between the Council of Europe and the Association of Schools of Political Studies for participants of the Schools of Political Studies. The programme was comprised of Networking Lunches, a diploma Ceremony, visits to the European Court of Human Rights and a Public Debate.
