The Public Service Reform implies many changes and has provoked many questions: How will the reform impact on the payment procedures of civil servants? What procedures should be followed to hire a person under a contract for a public service position? How to develop capacities and improve the skills of public servants and local government officials during the quarantine? These and other pertinent questions were addressed by participants in an online training activity organised in the Chernihiv Region.

Some 100 local public officials participated in the training on "Basic principles of reforming the civil service and service in local government", which took place on 17 June 2020. The event was organised by the Chernihiv Regional Training Center in co-operation with the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and the Council of Europe “Decentralisation and Local Government Reform in Ukraine” Programme.
