Human resource management in local self-government: Steering Committee

Project Human resource management in local self-government had its fifth and last Steering Committee on Thursday 14 December. Representatives of all project partners and beneficiaries attended the meeting including Mr Tim Cartwright CoE head of Belgrade office, Mr Ivan Bosnjak State secretary in the Ministry for public administration and local self-government, Mr Sasa Mogic, Assistant minister in the same ministry, Mr Djordje Stanicic Secretary General of the Standing conference of towns and municipalities, and Ms Danka Bogetic task manager from the EUD.

The goal of the meeting was to summarize the Project achievements and results, to reflect on the process, partners cooperation and plans for the potential second phase of the Project.

All project partners expressed satisfaction with accomplished results, and especially the synergy of the implementing partners that will be a excellent foundation for the future cooperation and a best practice example.

All sides expressed their firm commitment to development and implementation of the second phase of the project. Second phase is regarded as necessity especially for the beneficiaries who started a big reforms in HRM. The general conclusion is that the job is not done, this is just a setup of a significant milestone for the public administration reform.
