Council of Europe tools on Women’s Access to Justice now available in new languages

Within the Partnership for Good Governance II, the joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe, the regional project on Women's Access to Justice: delivering on the Istanbul Convention and other European gender equality standards in the Eastern Partnership countries has published the translations of the Guide for developing a mentoring programme on Women's Access to Justice for legal professionals and of the Guidance Note - Framework for measuring access to justice including specific challenges facing women in Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Romanian, Russian and Ukrainian.

These tools, designed for authorities, justice practitioners and civil society aim to facilitate the application of relevant international standards in the daily practice of these professionals. They also provide practical and policy suggestions to enhance women’s access to justice, especially women victims of violence, in line with the Council of Europe gender equality standards in all six Eastern Partnership countries.
