Two recent recommendations adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 4 March 2026 have been translated in Ukrainian. They address the problems posed to gender equality and non-discrimination, and the increase in violence against women and girls, by the structure of new technologies:
- CM/Rec(2026)1 – Equality and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will guide European countries in preventing and combating discrimination within the lifecycle of AI systems – from their design, through their use, and at all points up to their retirement.
- CM/Rec(2026)2 – Accountability for Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women and Girls sets the first international standard on accountability for such violence. It provides guidance for member states on enhancing their legal, institutional and regulatory responses to technology-facilitated violence against women and girls. It proposes a comprehensive notion of accountability, extending beyond criminal law to civil and administrative fields. This recommendation was launched on 10 June.

The recommendations were translated in Ukrainian under the Council of Europe project “Combating Violence against Women in Ukraine – Phase III” (COVAW-III) which is part of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026.
