The 2^nd European Forum on Digital Citizenship Education is planned to evaluate the results of the European Year 2025, to summarise the achievements from the member states in promoting DCE and to develop a five-year action plan for the implementation of the DCE Road Map for 2027-2031. The Action Plan, once adopted with the Road Map by the Ministers of Education of the Council of Europe in December 2026, will serve as a helping tool and a guiding strategic document for member states to implement their commitments and priorities in the field of digital citizenship education. International co-operation to promote and protect human rights and the rule of law in digital era is also one of the key objectives of the Forum.

This Forum is designed not only to reflect on lessons learnt and past achievements but to reach collective consensus on future trends in digital citizenship and education. By prioritizing inclusivity, innovation, and international co-operation, the event aims to equip European education systems to meet the evolving demands of the digital era and empower all citizens to thrive in a digitally enriched world.
