Protection of children against sexual abuse in the circle of trust 

The 1st monitoring round of the implementation of the Lanzarote Convention focuses on the protection of children against sexual abuse in the circle of trust. The Lanzarote Committee adopted two implementation reports covering this theme. The first report adopted on 4 December 2015 concerns the applicable legislation and judicial procedures, as well as data collection mechanisms, regarding the sexual abuse of children in the circle of trust. The second report adopted on 31 January 2018 assesses strategies to prevent sexual abuse of children in the circle of trust and to protect child victims.
