On 26 January, at the margins of the Opening of the Judicial Year of the European Court of Human Rights, the Department for the Execution of Judgments held meetings with representatives of the judiciary of several member States of the Council of Europe.
With a view to further strengthening cooperation, the Department had the opportunity to exchange with representatives from across the highest levels of the judiciary of Belgium, Greece, Moldova and the United Kingdom.
The Reykjavik Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe (16‑17 May 2023) affirmed the need for a co-operative and inclusive approach, based on dialogue, in the supervision process to assist States in the execution of judgments of the European Court.
