Under the joint EU/CoE programme “Reinforcing Judicial Expertise on Freedom of Expression and the Media in South-East Europe (JUFREX)", in cooperation with the Press Council and with the support of the Judicial Academy of Serbia, an interpofessional training on Media reporting on judicial proceedings was organsied on 2 November 2018, in Belgrade.

The event enabled discussion between representatives of judiciary and media actors, ensuring exchange of experiences on media cases, relating provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and media ethics. The aim of the activity was to raise awareness on existent standards, professional ethics and codes of conduct and to contribute to better communication, understanding between all involved professions and improvement of quality of information received through media.
