The CPT visits places of detention and assesses how persons deprived of their liberty are treated in order to strengthen their protection from torture and inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
2023
Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, Hungary, Luxembourg, Malta, North Macedonia and Slovak Republic.
In addition, the CPT will carry out two visits initially planned for 2022: Estonia and Ukraine.
