Media & Communication Training for Finnish municipalities

A two-day training on media & communication was conducted under the EU / CoE Joint Project on “Building an inclusive integration approach in Finland” on 11-12 March 2024 in Helsinki.

Representatives of the municipalities participating in the project (Hämeenlinna, Kuopio, Tampere, Turku, Vaasa and Vantaa) attended the training which focused on promoting effective messages, narratives, and stories about intercultural integration as well as the tools, techniques, and confidence to carry out effective media interviews.

The training provided by the Council of Europe (ICC) experts Nadia Bellardi and Ophelia Field, and independent expert Robert Taylor deepened the knowledge of participants to create and promote the very best of intercultural concepts. The training also covered good practices from other cities on intercultural communication.
