The Historical-Technical Museum of Peenemünde is dedicated to the history of the German Peenemünde Army Research Centre (Heeresversuchsanstalt Peenemünde) and the Luftwaffe test site of “Peenemünde-West”, especially the special rockets (Vergeltungswaffen) developed at the research centre between 1936 and 1945. The Museum is located in the observation bunker and the site of the former power station in Peenemünde (Kraftwerk Peenemünde) on the island of Usedom. The Historical-Technical Museum of Peenemünde is an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
