- Regular member of the “Routes of the Olive Tree”, certified Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.
The “Città dell’Olio” National Association (est. 1994) brings together the Municipalities, Provinces, Chambers of Commerce, LAGs (Local Action Groups) and Parks, sites in territories where oils are produced which record adequate olive tradition connected with environmental, historical, cultural values and/or falling within a Denomination of Origin. The Association has among its main tasks that of disseminating culture and history of quality olive, olive oil and olive-growing; protecting and promoting the environment and the olive-growing landscape; guaranteeing the consumer through the enhancement of Designations of Origin; organizing events and implementing communication and marketing strategies aimed at understanding the Italian olive heritage.
