The President and members of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights held a meeting yesterday in Strasbourg with a delegation of the DG Human Rights and Rule of Law.
They had an exchange on various issues concerning the execution of judgments of the San Jose and Strasbourg Courts. They usefully identified and exchanged information on success stories and remaining challenges in a period of time when human rights standards implementation needs to be maintained and strengthened.
Noting their common interest in pursuing this kind of cross-fertilisation, the delegations agreed to explore more avenues of systematic and regular contacts and interaction.
