On 16 June, the Department for the Execution of Judgments participated in a joint thematic event of the Execution Coordinators Network (ExCN) and the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) on the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Berlin.
The joint event was opened by the German Federal Minister of Justice Stefanie Hubig. It was organised under the auspices of the Project “Support to Efficient Domestic Capacity for the Execution of ECtHR Judgments (Phase 2)” and funded by the Human Rights Trust Fund.
Its aim was to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the execution process through an increased mutual understanding of roles and the added value of cooperation, awareness of good practices, practical examples, and identification of concrete steps to strengthen collaboration, including potential joint initiatives.
The event provided a valuable platform for strengthening contacts between the different stakeholders, exchanging experiences and discussing practical approaches to enhance cooperation and promote effective execution processes.
