In this activity you meet four friends who live in London. They share their varied experiences of intercultural encounter and reflect on the multicultural character of the city in which they live. As they do so, they introduce a number of themes that often occur in personal stories of encounter, such as language, race, religion and relationships. They share their thoughts on the discomforts of feeling different as well as the benefits of contact with a rich variety of cultures. They are interested in people's perceptions of them and their own identity.
