On 29 November, the second Steering Committee meeting of the Project “Support to the effective execution of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Armenia”, funded by Human Rights Trust Fund and implemented in the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia for 2023-2026, was successfully held in Yerevan.
The Steering Committee is the strategic decision-making body of the Project. It aims to ensure the successful planning, implementation and transparency of the Project and the creation of synergies between the actors involved. It ensures that the activities are planned and performed according to the goal and objectives of the Project.
All the Project partners acknowledged the tangible results achieved by the Project, expressed their full commitment and gratitude for the excellent cooperation and recognised crucial importance of continuing the Council support for the implementation of the reforms in Armenia that will have a direct impact on the execution of ECtHR judgments that are under supervision of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers.
The partners’ commitment ensured that they turn the Project’s outputs and outcomes into concrete results within their remit and play a decisive role in strengthening the application of European human rights standards at national level, also beyond the Project ’s action.
