This long-read article presents the story of a life sentence prisoner who was released after 24-year imprisonment and now is a probation service beneficiary. The article aims to voice the existing issues and challenges, as well as to highlight the achievements and improvements of the penitentiary system in Armenia that were made possible also as a result of successful implementation of the Council of Europe ongoing and completed projects.
