The Q-Ensemble brings a program that intertwines the dramatic intensity of baroque arias by composers such as Antonio Vivaldi and Georg Friedrich Händel with the harmonic purity of traditional Latin American boleros by Armando Manzanero and Gabriel Ruiz. This unique blend of musical genres is curated to explore and narrate the personal experiences of Gender Dysphoria—a profound sense of discomfort that occurs when there is a misalignment between one’s gender identity and the gender assigned at birth - and the emotional and social complexities that accompany this experience.
