The Deputy Secretary General opened a Senior Management workshop on 23 September, underlining the benefits of the new project management methodology. It will provide more and better information on the Organisation’s cooperation projects. She also stressed that for Project Management Methodology to work fully, in Strasbourg and in the field offices, staff will need the active support of all levels of management in the implementation of the new methodology. Project Management Methodology will be complemented by a new IT tool in early 2017.

Background

The Project Management Methodology handbook was published in May and more than 1300 handbooks have been downloaded or distributed.  More than 80 staff have already followed the two-day Project Management Methodology training course which continues this autumn in Strasbourg and the field. All staff working on cooperation projects are encouraged to participate in the training.
