Back Attack on Roma youth near Paris shameful and inexcusable

Secretary General

Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland joined President Hollande and many politicians and rights groups in France in their condemnation of a vigilante attack on a Roma teenager in a Paris suburb. Speaking in The Hague after a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister Timmermans, Mr. Jagland said: “Such attacks, whatever the motivation, are shameful and inexcusable. It is good to see the French government and so many responsible people in France and across Europe taking a strong stand against discrimination and attacks on Roma".
