The Council of Europe’s Pool of International Experts on Safe Sport will convene for its annual meeting
The Council of Europe’s Pool of International Experts on Safe Sport will convene for its fifth annual meeting in Strasbourg. The discussions will centre on preparations for the upcoming 19th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers Responsible for Sport, scheduled to take place in Monaco on 3–4 November 2026. The principal theme for the Conference – “Safer and healthier sports environments for children” – will guide much of the dialogue.
Attendees will also address the implementation of the “Start to Talk” project across member states, alongside the advancement of the pool’s deliverables, including a compilation of research related to safer sporting environments for children and a training toolkit to help identify and respond to sexual violence against children. The latest HELP module on child safeguarding in sport will also be introduced. This meeting takes place under the Presidency of Monaco of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
