Role of European Youth Card in promoting young people’s rights post-COVID

A webinar “New challenges and opportunities for innovative youth services. The role of the European Youth Card in promoting the rights of young people in post COVID era” is being held under the Greek Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers on 5-6 November 2020.

The Greek Chairmanship has declared youth one of its priorities, and this event is the key event in the field of youth held under the Chairmanship.

Niki Kerameus, Greek Minister of Education and Religious Affairs; Georgios Voutsinos, Secretary General for Vocational Education, Training and Lifelong Learning, Antje Rothemund, Head of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe, Ivan Hromada, Chair of the Steering Committee for Youth of the Council of Europe, and Manel Sanchez, Director, European Youth Card Association are among the speakers at the opening of the event.

The webinar brings together representatives of NGO, youth activists and government officials. They are discussing themes such as supporting young people, including youth workers and students, during the pandemic and carrying our digital youth work to help build resilient communities. The role of young people using the European Youth Card under the Council of Europe Partial agreement on youth mobility is a special priority for the event.

The meeting can be followed online on the Facebook page of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs from 9h00 to 15h15 CET on 5 November and from 9h00 to 14h30 on 6 November.
