Partner communities has received IT equipment and software

Working in partner communities at local level, the Council of Europe Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions. Phase II” improves services for IDPs and the conflict-affected population by equipping social agencies with in-demand equipment and software.

Five communities had been selected as partners for the Project's component on promoting better integration of IDPs and the human rights protection of the conflict-affected population at local level. These are: Berdyansk, Kramatorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Storogynets, and Tairiv.

Provision of IT equipment and the implementation of targeted digital solutions is one of the priorities outlined in the joint working plans formulated by the Project and the communities in 2021.

Based on prior needs assessment done by the Project, executive administrations of 7 district councils of Kryvyi Rih (Dovgyntsivskyi, Inguletskyi, Metalurgiinyi, Pokrovskyi, Saksaganskyi, Ternivskyi, Tsentralno-Miskyi) as well as executive administration of Storogynets city council has received laptops, PCs, multifunctional devices, and specialised software. This support will allow the administrations and social services to reach out to more beneficiaries in Dnipropetrovsk and Chernivtsi regions.

In 2022 the Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions” will further operate in partner communities and follow the joint work plans aimed at strengthening local authorities in responding to the changing needs of IDPs and the conflict-affected population.
