Launching event of the Council of Europe project  “Support for judicial institutions and processes to strengthen access to justice in Ukraine”

The Council of Europe continues to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine in reforming the judicial system in accordance with the strategic directions of cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2021. The Department of Justice and Legal Cooperation of the Directorate General for Human Rights and the Rule of Law of the Council of Europe (DG I) together with the Supreme Court are launching a new project " Support for judicial institutions and processes to strengthen access to justice in Ukraine".

The main goal of the project is to provide support to the Ukrainian judiciary in reforming legislation and improving judicial practice, as well as ensuring effective access to justice in light with the standards and recommendations of the Council of Europe. The project implementation period is 2021-2022.

On 01 March 2021 a round table will be held in order to launch a new Project. During the round table the representatives of judicial, legislative and executive authority, the representatives of the mass media and nongovernmental organisations will have an opportunity to make aware of the main guidelines of the Project and future events that will contribute to the achievement of the planned objectives.
