Children’s Data Protection in an Education setting - Joint EU-Council of Europe Project provided translation of Guidelines

At its 40th plenary meeting, on 18-20 November 2020, the Committee of Convention 108 adopted Guidelines on Children’s Data Protection in an Education Setting. These Guidelines set forth the fundamental principles of children’s rights in an education setting and help legislators and policy makers, data controllers as well as the industry to uphold these rights.
The Guidelines follow and build on a report on “Children’s Data Protection in Education Systems: Challenges and Possible Remedies” by Jen Persson, director of defenddigitalme.

The Joint Project “European Union and Council of Europe working together to strengthen the Ombudsperson’s capacity to protect human rights” has provided translation of the Guidelines and Report into Ukrainian.
