Three Years of Displacement: Challenges and Good Practices of IDPs Integration
The Council of Europe Project “Strengthening the Human Rights Protection of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine” under the framework of the Action plan for Ukraine 2015-2017 and the Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine, with the support of the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine, organize a national Forum “Three Years of Displacement: Challenges and Good Practices of IDPs Integration”.
The Forum commemorates the third anniversary of the adoption of the law “On Ensuring of Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons.” The purpose is, inter alia, to discuss a draft “Strategy of Integration of Internally Displaced Persons and Providing Durable Solutions for IDPs till 2020” elaborated by the MinTOT and IDPs of Ukraine.
The Forum aims at creating a space for communication, inspiration, experience exchange and networking of various stakeholders which implement policies and practices promoting the integration of IDPs into host communities.
Up to 100 leading representatives of international and national organizations, working with IDPs, national authorities from 13 different regions of Ukraine will take part in the Forum.

Mr Shigeki Sumi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine
Ms Verena Taylor, Director of the Office of the Directorate General of Programmes, Council of Europe
Mr Vadym Chernysh, Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine
The event will take place at Hotel “Khreschatyk”, 14, Khreshchatyk St., Kyiv, and start at 9 am on Thursday 19 October 2017.
