Back International conference “Political parties financing in Ukraine: current legislation, recent developments and perspectives”

On 15 March 2017, the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine organizes the international conference “Political parties financing in Ukraine: current legislation, recent developments and perspectives” with involvement of the Council of Europe experts, including of the Venice Commission and the Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO), as well as of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR).

The aim of the conference is to discuss the results of implementation of the current Ukrainian legislation on political parties financing, in particular, parties’ statutory activities and pre-election campaign financing, as well as to exchange on outstanding challenges and possible solutions in line with the Council of Europe standards and recommendations and European good practices.

Representatives of political parties, representatives of the legislature, executive bodies and the judiciary, as well as international and national experts on political parties financing, representatives of civil society organizations are invited to participate in this conference.

The event is organized with the support of the Council of Europe projects “Assistance to the Ukrainian authorities in reforming electoral legislation and in conducting constitutional reform”, “Reform of the Electoral Practice in Ukraine”, the Council of Europe and the European Union Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Eastern Partnership Countries project “Fight Against Corruption in Ukraine”.

The conference will take place at the Hotel “Kyiv” (26/1, Grushevskogo Street) and it will start on 15 March 2017 at 9:30 am.
