The Council of Europe project ‘Combating discrimination in Morocco’ has translated some of the general policy recommendations and key topic notes of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) into Arabic with the aim of promoting the fight against discrimination in Morocco.
These Arabic-language versions are intended to raise awareness among the Moroccan institutions, non-governmental organisations and the general public about issues related to racism and discrimination and ways to prevent and combat it.
The recommendations cover important issues such as the key role of equality bodies, how to combat racism and discrimination in education, in policing, how to protect irregular immigrants from discrimination and how to combat hate speech.

The ‘Combating discrimination in Morocco’ project is being implemented as part of the Council of Europe Neighborhood Partnership with Morocco 2018-2021 with the support of Liechtenstein, Norway and Spain.
