Antidiscrimination seminar in Belarus

A national training seminar on anti-discrimination in practice will be held on 12 and 13 December in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus.

Capacity building activities on the application of European antidiscrimination standards in their daily work will lead to more expertise of public authorities and NGOs in Belarus on how to apply these standards and advocate for better antidiscrimination policies.

The seminar in Minsk will also be an occasion to present the findings of the Survey on the perception of discrimination and the perception of the need for stronger action through legislation against discrimination which was conducted under the regional project.

This training seminar will be conducted in the framework of the regional project “Strengthening access to justice through non-judiciary redress mechanisms for victims of discrimination, hate crime and hate speech in Eastern Partnership countries”, which is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe through the Partnership for Good Governance II programme.
