Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Moldova
The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of the Supreme Court’s reform and increase the Court’s capacity to deliver justice aligned with European standards by improving the quality and consistency of judicial decisions, and promoting the uniform application of the law. These efforts are designed to contribute to a better human rights protection for the whole population in the Republic of Moldova.

- Judges and judicial assistants of the Supreme Court of Justice have the skills and capacity to address inconsistencies and ensure uniform application of the law through unification of the judicial practice.
- The Registry of the Supreme Court of Justice has the capacity to assist the judges in the exercise of their functions in the harmonisation of judicial practice.
- Transparency and accessibility to the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Justice for legal professionals and general public is increased.
- The strategic institutional development priorities are set, regulation and working procedures are developed, assessed, and unified; clear working procedures and tools are introduced and implemented to increase the Court’s effectiveness and quality of its work.
- The work of the Supreme Court of Justice is more transparent and visible to the legal professionals and general public.
Key Activities
Expert support and advice on institutional development of the Supreme Court of Justice;
Research and analyses of data, information, processes and documents, their assessments and evaluation of operation procedures within the Supreme Court of Justice;
Specialised trainings, workshops, for judges and judicial assistants covering various legal topics on harmonisation of judicial practice;
Development of guidelines, methodology, tools, and other materials to the unification of judicial practice and uniform application of law;
Public information, awareness raising, learning, sharing, advocacy and visibility activities, etc
