The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance is providing capacity-building support to Lithuanian local authorities through implementation of the Council of Europe toolkit on Inter-Municipal Cooperation (IMC). In this context, a two-day hybrid-style workshop is organised on 30 September – 1 October, with participants physically present in Vilnius and international experts joining online. The mayors and relevant local authorities will identify areas of interest for cooperation between the municipalities, in order to pull their resources, create economies of scale, and provide better services. The workshop will also help participants improve their skills for developing and implementing IMC initiatives, aiming at improving governance at local level and boosting regional development.

The activities are implemented as part of the joint Council of Europe – European Union project "Delivering Good Governance in Lithuania".
