In the context of implementation of the Council of Europe tool on Civil Participation in Decision-Making, a capacity-building workshop for the Lithuanian local authorities will take place on 7 and 8 October 2020, in Druskininkai. The workshop will bring together mayors, administrative directors and other senior officials responsible for civil participation at local level. Working in groups and under the guidance of national experts, these participants will start preparing draft strategies for the promotion of effective civil participation in local decision-making, in their respective municipalities.
In addition, the international and national experts will continue providing individual consultations to the interested local authorities, on the process of development of their civil participation strategies.
This activity is being implemented as a part of the CoE – EU joint project Delivering Good Governance in Lithuania.
