The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance is supporting the implementation of the second round of ELoGE - the European Label of Governance Excellence, which was launched on 23 October in Greece. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Institute of Local Administration of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE-ITA).

The participating municipalities will have to complete a self-evaluation against the ELoGE benchmark, and organise surveys for citizens and local authorities. The municipalities able to demonstrate compliance with the 12 Principles of Good Democratic Governance will be awarded with the Label at a special ceremony, scheduled for the beginning of 2021. The ELoGE process enables municipalities to identify areas for improving governance, and learning from each other in the process.
