 About the project

The main aim of Manel`s project, Mentoría (Spanish for "mentorship") is to achieve the inclusion of young people (aged 16-25) at risk of exclusion in the labour market. It is a key step towards finding their way to society from marginalisation. The work is done by conducting individual interviews and advising and training both youth at risk and the young volunteering mentors who will accompany them throughout the project in order to help them know what they want to do with their lives – education and employment-wise – and how to do it. We will provide them with tools, soft skills, and knowledge on a range of different fields they might find engaging, to ensure that they have all they need to become independent and active members of society.

Manel is a youth worker volunteering for an organization which supports and accompanies young people in fragile situations through daily life activities (from school/work to leisure time), always from a mental-health and social rights-based approach
