 About the project

“Y lab” is a youth-led project created to provide activities for young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods with their wider peer group from minority and majority communities. The main objectives of the project are to raise awareness on social rights and to provide opportunities for youth participation and co-designing activities for personal development with the help of young people. The project is allowing young people to create their own space in the youth center, where they can take part in planning of activities as well as community and educational projects. As a result of the initial project activities “Y lab” a youth club was established within the youth center. There is a monthly calendar, which includes activities for free time, personal development, and local youth initiatives.

 About Boyana

Boyana is a youth worker in a youth center mainly responsible for running activities, which enhance the social and personal development of young people through the methods of non-formal education on a local and national level. As a youth worker Boyana develops supportive relationships with youth and encourages them to realise their own potential.
