About the project
The project “Your Future is in Your Hand” is a local youth project supported by the Council of Europe and coordinated by Karaman Youth Club NGO between 12 October 2021 and 10 December 2021. Young people living in rural areas have difficulty accessing opportunities that support their personal development. They face problems such as lack of self-confidence and lack of qualifications while starting business life – especially due to their social, cultural, and economic disadvantages. These disadvantaged young people feel lost and worried when they should be creating their future careers.
The objectives of the project are:
- To encourage young people to participate actively in life,
- To provide access to information and consulting services,
- To support them in accessing international opportunities by raising awareness about these opportunities,
- To ensure their access to social activities,
- To raise awareness about future career opportunities,
- To increase the level of knowledge by creating awareness about entrepreneurship,
- To support them to become self-confident individuals,
- To raise awareness about their social rights,
- To motivate them, help them gain self-confidence, and support their personal development,
- To support them to act by making them realise their potential.
During the project, two info-sessions, one seminar and two workshops were held, and a total of 10 KMU students were given "Professional Individual Coach" support.
About Ayşe Yağmur
Ayşe is Chairwomen of the board and project coordinator in our association since 2012 and volunteer since 2010. She is studying for a PhD in Economics. Her motto is "I cannot save the world, but I can help people to positive changes their life."
