The Government of Malta has made a voluntary contribution of €40,000 to support the Venice Commission action to promote the development of democratic institutions based on respect for the rule of law and human rights, and MONEYVAL's 5th round of mutual evaluations.

The agreements were signed on 7 December 2021 by Ambassador Lorenzo Vella, Permanent Representative of Malta to the Council of Europe, and Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General.
